Biography

I am currently a Ph.D. student of Systems Engineering at University of Virginia, under the supervision of Prof. Laura E Barnes. Before that I got my Master degree in Information Technology from School of Engineering, HKUST, where I did my independent project about indoor localization under Prof. Shueng-Han Gary Chan ’s supervision. Previously I obtained my Bachelor degree from School of Infomatics, Xiamen University, where I have spent wonderful times as a research assistant with Prof. Longbiao Chen.

  • Dec 2025Multimodal Sensing and Modeling of Endocrine Therapy Adherence in Breast Cancer Survivors accepted to IMWUT for the December issue.
  • Nov 2025 – Presented the Breast Cancer medicine adherence project at The Commonwealth of Virginia Cancer Research Conference (CVCRC).
  • Oct 2025 – Showcased our medicine adherence poster at the UVA 2025 AI/ML Resource Fair.
  • Sep 2025 – Presented a poster on Breast Cancer medicine adherence at Frontiers in Clinical AI: Advancing Medical Innovation Through Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
  • Jun 2024 – Started the Systems Engineering Ph.D. program at UVA and joined Link Lab as a graduate research assistant.
  • Oct 2023 – Wrapped up my time as a Software Development Engineer at AWS
  • Nov 2022 – Received my Master degree from HKUST and started working as a Software Development Engineer at AWS
  • Mar 2022 – Began a Software Development Engineer internship with AWS in Beijing.
  • Apr 2021 – Joined Alibaba Cloud as a Testing Development Intern working on large-scale distributed systems.
